Diversity

Diversity comes in many shapes and forms. The world we live in today is a very diverse place, there are many different cultures, religions, races, sexualities and weights just to name a few. In the fashion world they claim to use 'Diversity', but to me they do not really use it at all. Diversity is using all the differences from around the world and letting everybody come together harmoniously. The fashion world are still very discriminative on weight for instance, they claim to use different cultures and races but if this years fashion shows around the world are anything to go by then they most definitely do not. After spending five weeks of my summer in Thailand this year I got to experience first hand the depths of diversity. I travelled all around the country and its beautiful islands experiencing culture with religion, food and people. I experienced diversity with amazing and picturesque landscapes. I even got to experience different sexualities by spending time in the gay areas of Thailand and becoming friends with some of the ladyboys. I believe real beauty comes from within and Thailand is a perfect example of this, many people have very little or nothing yet they get up with a smile on their faces every single day. Through a boom in tourism over the last twenty years Thailand has become, I would say one of the most diverse countries in the world, with most people from all walks of life living nothing but harmoniously on a day-to-day basis. I have put together some pictures below to show my experiences of diversity.
