Transgender's, Transvestite's and Drag Queen's

When looking into sexuality I find the area of cross genders particularly interesting. There is a difference in the names written in the title;

Transgender is when a person has the desire to change their current sex to that of the opposite, i.e. male to female.
Transvestite is when a person simply enjoys wearing the opposite sexes clothes but it tends to be more of a fetish
Drag Queens dress completely in the opposite sexes way but often in a character kind of way and usually as a job. They lead there lives as their own sex and change for fun

I again don't understand why in this day and age people like this cant be used to front big campaigns and bring a better sense of equality and awareness. I travelled to Thailand earlier this year and became friendly with several of the Ladyboys, they were simply fabulous. If I had the opportunity to use one of these in my shoots I definitely would, I will look more into the possibilities and see if it will work with what i am trying to achieve. The use of a Ladyboy would be amazing but the only issue I have is that they actually look better than most women so I don't see how I can capture their essence in a photograph without it being portrayed as a woman. I have added photographs of the above that have inspired and captured my heart.

I have chosen to give Ladyboy's their own section as they have a special place in my heart, after spending five weeks in Thailand over the summer I had so much fun with them and I will include photos of some of the friends I met to try and showcase the sheer beauty of them both inside and out. The other reason I cant exactly categorise them as i have above is that its difficult to tell who has had the operation, who hasn't and if they actually want to or its just a way of making money. Im adding pictures below that inspire me and they're there to make up your own mind.
